About these formats
SRT
SRT was created for the SubRip ripper utility and is now the lingua franca of subtitling: every video player, every YouTube uploader, every editing suite reads it. Each cue is a numbered block of plain text bracketed by a start→end timestamp written as `HH:MM:SS,mmm`. Styling is generally limited to a few HTML-style tags (<i>, <b>, <font>).
Full SRT guide →LRC
LRC is a lightweight text format invented in 1998 to display synchronised lyrics alongside audio playback. Each line is preceded by a timestamp in [minutes:seconds.centiseconds] form, and most modern karaoke and music players (Foobar2000, MusicBee, KuGou, RockBox, Plex) read it natively. Enhanced LRC additionally supports per-word timestamps via inline <mm:ss.xx> tags, enabling true karaoke-style highlighting.

What changes in this conversion
LRC has nowhere to put the following, so it is dropped:
- End time per cue — Whether a cue says when it stops, or simply runs until the next one begins.
- Cue identifiers — A handle for each cue, useful when diffing or re-syncing.
Questions
How do I convert SRT to LRC?
Paste your SRT into the input box, or open a file from your device. The converter runs in your browser and produces LRC instantly. Click Download to save it.
Is this free?
Yes — no signup, no credits, no upload. Conversion happens entirely on your device, so the file never leaves your browser.
Are timestamps preserved?
Yes. Timestamps round-trip from SRT into LRC with millisecond precision.
What if my SRT has styling or positioning?
Only what both formats can express survives a conversion. LRC keeps the timings and the text; formatting that LRC has no equivalent for is dropped rather than approximated.
