How to use this tool

    Upload the FLAC

    A single lossless file holding the whole album or side. Up to 100 MB — a full CD rip as one FLAC will usually exceed that.

    Upload the CUE

    A standalone .cue file. It has to be a separate upload: a CUESHEET block stored inside the FLAC is not read.

  3. 03

    Check the track list first

    The sheet is parsed in your browser and previewed against the real length of your audio, so a mismatched sheet is obvious before anything uploads.

  4. 04

    Split and download

    The server cuts each track and returns a ZIP. The page unpacks it in the browser, so a single track can be saved without a ZIP tool.

Why use this tool

Cut on the sample, not the frame

Each track is decoded and re-encoded, which lets the cut land exactly where the cue point says. A FLAC stream copy can only cut on a FLAC frame — measured on this splitter, that bled 0.15 s of the neighbouring track into the file.

Lossless, even though it re-encodes

FLAC is a lossless codec, so decoding and re-encoding returns identical samples. The output's decoded PCM is bit-identical to the same range of the source. The .flac bytes differ — the audio does not.

Correct durations

A stream copy carries the album's STREAMINFO into every track, so each one reports the whole album's length and a seek bar scaled to it. Re-encoding writes each track's own header, so players show the right time.

Vorbis comments written per track

TITLE, ARTIST and TRACKNUMBER come from the sheet's TRACK blocks. ALBUM is not set — the header lines above the first TRACK aren't applied.

Yes. FLAC is a lossless codec: decoding and re-encoding gives back the same samples. We verified it on this splitter — the decoded PCM of an output track is bit-identical to the same range of the source, with a matching MD5, and repeated re-encodes are stable. What changes is the .flac file's bytes, not the audio in it.
