Semantic Lyric Search

A keyword search needs your words to appear in the song. This turns your query into a vector that represents its meaning and compares it against a vector for each indexed lyric, so 'a hopeful breakup song' can surface a track that never uses any of those words. The closest fifty are then re-scored by a second, slower model that reads the query and the lyric together, which is what puts the best answer at the top rather than merely a related one.

Only from lyrics that people have submitted to the LrcSong community library and that a moderator has approved — a submission becomes searchable at the moment it is approved, and not before. It does not search your own jobs, your history, or the wider web, and nothing you type into the box is added to the library. Each result links to that song's community page.

A mood, a theme, or a half-remembered line — anything from three characters up. The search fires by itself a moment after you stop typing, so there's usually no need to press the button, and it returns up to twenty results.

It's a relevance score for ranking, not a confidence reading. Use it to compare results within a single search — the gap between the first and second result tells you something — but don't read a specific number as a probability, and don't compare scores across different searches.
