Pitch, and only pitch. If you upload the original track, your sung notes are compared against the melody extracted from that recording, moment by moment. If you don't, you get an intonation score instead: how close each note you sang sits to the nearest note of the scale. Nothing here reads your lyrics or checks your words against a timing — a plain LRC carries no melody, so there is nothing for it to score.

No. The scorer searches for the time offset that best lines your take up against the original, so starting a beat or two late does not cost you points — it reports the offset it found. You do need to sing the same song from roughly the same place: if the two recordings never overlap enough, it tells you rather than inventing a score. Singing an octave up or down is fine, since notes are matched octave-agnostically.

S from 95 points, A from 85, B from 70, C from 50, and D below that, out of 100. Underneath you get a note-by-note breakdown of what you sang against what was expected, so you can see which phrase pulled the average down.

Yes. Your take is recorded in the browser and then uploaded to our servers, where the pitch is extracted and scored; the reference track you supply is uploaded too. You need to be signed in, but scoring is free and spends no credits, up to 20 takes a minute.
