Prosody & Singability Scorer

Four things read straight off your timestamps: syllables per second across the whole song, average and peak words-per-minute between consecutive lines, and the average gap between lines. The score starts at 100 and loses points when the density goes above 4.5 syllables a second, when peak pace passes 250 words a minute, or when the average gap drops under 1.5 seconds — the last one being the singer's room to breathe.

Not line by line. You get one score for the file plus the peak words-per-minute figure and a short list of written notes about pacing. Use the peak number as the signal that a section is cramped, then find it in your LRC — the tool points at the problem, it does not highlight the line.

The pacing half is: word counts and line gaps are language-agnostic, so a translated line that now packs in too many words shows up in the words-per-minute figures. The syllable count is not — it is an English vowel-pattern rule, so the syllables-per-second number is unreliable for non-Latin scripts and only roughly right for other Latin-script languages.

An .lrc file up to 5 MB, with at least two timestamped lines — plain lyrics with no timing cannot be analysed, because every metric is derived from the gaps between timestamps. Analysis is free, but you need to be signed in, and the file's text is sent to our servers to be scored rather than processed in your browser.
